Lets talk FIBER

Dietary fiber is found in the cell walls of plants. Eating 3 grams of soluble fiber from oats or 7 grams a day of soluble fiber from psyllium husk has been shown to lower blood cholesterol levels. Soluble fiber, in addition to its cardio- protective benefits, may have a positive effect on diabetes management.

Soluble fiber helps slow the uptake of carbohydrates from the GI tract resulting in a more controlled release of glucose into the blood stream. It also helps improve the bowel transit time and promotes bowel regularity.

Standard process has two fiber products, Gastro Fiber and Whole food Fiber.

Gastro fiber is a vegetarian product which has five different whole food and botanicals in it! Psyllium husk powder, collinsonia root powder, apple pectin, fennel seed, and fenugreek seed powder. This product helps the bowels and helps you maintain healthy vessel walls. It also tones the mucosal membranes in the intestines.

Whole food Fiber is made from 6 whole food sources to help support optimal health in the intestine and immune system. It includes rice bran which helps with regular elimination and acts as an antioxidant to protect the colon. Beets and carrots act as prebiotics and support the healthy balance of the gastrointestinal flora by encouraging the growth of beneficial microorganisms in the gut! This product also includes Oat bran, beets, and apple pectin.
